‘Stillwater By Zdarsky & Pérez #7’ (review)

Written by Chip Zdarsky
Art by Ramon Perez
Published by Image Comics

The first story arc of this series was absolutely fantastic.

It packed in so much excitement and fun that I seriously could not get enough. I was anxious to see what was going to happen next and finally, this issue arrived. I was very excited indeed.

The last issue of this series was completely explosive.

The town of Stillwater has erupted into complete chaos. We got to see that the Judge that presides over the town was taken out of the picture! This has led to some deep ramifications that do not let up here.

Ted and his militia begin their plan to take over the town. They storm it and the townspeople are caught completely off guard. It is brutal to watch. They don’t look like they are going to be able to be stopped.

That is when things start to turn just a little bit.

Daniel, our protagonist, may be the town’s best chance of getting out of this.

Can Daniel get it together to save the town? We get to see him planning something big. This leads to a really great last page that made me want the next issue right away.

The story here by Chip Zdarsky is pretty great. He is one of the best writers in comics and shows us that again here.

The artwork by Ramon K. Perez is perfect as well. It is a beautifully drawn book. I just loved this and can’t wait to see what’s next!

RATING: A
