This issue is the end of the first story arc of this series. It is also one hell of an issue as well.
Last issue, things got truly explosive. This issue picks up right where that left off. It is a great issue that answers a bunch of questions and then brings up a whole ton more!
Stillwater is the town where people don’t die. On top of that, children there do not age, unless they leave the town.
Cops are burying people who are trying to get the word out about what is happening here. There is a whole bunch of well thought out inventive touches like this for this series that really make the whole thing truly unique.
After the church blew up last issue, we see that Daniel is the key to the bigger mystery happening in this town.
Things start unraveling for him and he begins to discover some of the bigger truths of what is going on. He is also trying to keep out of trouble which seems hard to do.
The town is also falling apart. Officer Ted decides that maybe it is time to take matters into his own hands. Things get super crazy and a bit violent. It all leads to a stunning ending that made me want the next arc immediately!
The story by Zdarksy is truly fantastic. This is some of his best writing work so far. The characters are great and the plot really moves. The art by Ramon K. Perez is pretty stunning as well. This is a good book and I can’t wait to see where this creative team takes us from here.
