SDCC – ASH VS EVIL DEAD Trailer is Pure Sugar, Baby

Another trailer premiered this weekend that for many of us cinegeeks, was as welcome as seeing the Star Wars gang onstage.

This time, it was seeing Bruce Campbell, The Book of The Dead, a well worn ‘73 Delta 88 and a chainsaw.

And suddenly a generation of primitive screw-heads smiled.

With Sam Raimi once again overseeing the project, Campbell’s beloved character Ash Williams returns in Ash vs. Evil Dead a ten episode series coming from Starz. Written by Ivan Raimi, Sam Raimi and Tom Spezialy, this series serves as a sequel to the beloved franchise composed on Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and Army of Darkness.

Check out the first full trailer, found after the jump, which also stars Lucy Lawless, and plenty of blood, slapstick and one liners.

Groovy.
