Need to get away from the droves of Deadpools and thousands of women sporting white-blonde hair and baby dragons? Try out one of the many sponsored lounges available for you at the Con so you can recharge, both in body, spirit and electronics.
The Wired Cafe
The King of the Comic-Con Daytime Chill Shindigs, the Wired Cafe returns for a ninth year to the Omni for a single day to give SDCC heavy hitters a chance to catch their breath.
The favorite escape for press, talent and VIPs is the perfect place for worker bees to conduct interviews, meet up with talent before and after panels, and meet with colleagues to discuss the highs and lows of the Con/political conventions/Taylor Swift.
This year, HBO’s Silicon Valley has partnered with the Wired Cafe (as well as Don Julio, Fusion and Geek Squad) for themed goodies. Past HBO sponsors have included “True Blood” (decked with a Merlotte’s bar) and “Game of Thrones” (featuring a Oculus Rift climb of The Wall).
New this year: Wired Cafe Insider pass available for purchase to get you into the super-duper VIP section of yummy eats, treats and celeb greets.

Also, this lounge gives you the chance to give back by teaming with Operation Smile, which has fans helping others and leveling up their karma points.
At night, the day lounge offers open parties with a fan party on Thursday and the Dance the Night Away bash on Saturday night to close the Con.
