SAMUEL L. JACKSON Joins The ROBO In The Muthaf***in’ COP Remake

Both men have been reported as being the actor with the highest box office gross of all time.  Now for the second time in their long careers, they are working together again.

Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers, Star Wars prequel trilogy, Jurassic Park) will co-star opposite Gary Oldman (Dark Knight trilogy, Harry Potter series) in Jose Padilha’s upcoming remake of RoboCop starring Joel Kinnaman as Officer Alex Murphy, who after being murdered, is resurrected as a cyborg police officer.

Jackson will play charismatic media mogul Pat Novak, a powerful force in the Robocop world.  Oldman was previously cast as RoboCop’s creator.  The two actors previously shared a scene in 1993’s True Romance.

With both Jackson and Oldman’s characters being new inventions, RoboCop might be among one of the more inspired an interesting reimaginings.  RoboCop is expected to be released next summer.
