Man, I love the way this book is coming out.
I wasn’t sure how this all might turn out but the creative team has done an absolutely brilliant job with this series. I am sad that it was only be a limited series but better that than let the quality dip.
Our unidentified detective, who is one of the lead characters, continues his investigation in this issue.
We have already seen some of the dark places he has been and led to.
He is trying to figure out Rorsharch’s involvement with a dangerous young girl and why this series of events is all happening.
This is a dark issue.
It may be the darkest issue thus far for any of the Watchmen related series. The detective’s quest takes him to meet a new character. This character takes the detective and makes him question everything that he has learned until now.
I don’t want to give too much away but by the end of the issue everything in this series has changed. There are a few plot points that that turned everything that we have learned so far onto it’s head. It also seems to set up what is to come next.
Tom King is once again doing the best writing of his career. He really has changed his writing style for this a bit and the results are astounding.
The art by Jorge Fornes is pretty damn great as well. This is Fornes at his best. The art is some of the best comic book artwork on the stands.
I am enjoying this series very much and I love where it is going.
