This is writer Scott Lobdell’s penultimate issue writing this title. This has been a truly great run. The action has been exciting and the character development has been just fantastic.
I will be sad when the next issue hits, but I am happy I got the opportunity to read this.
This issue opens with the Red Hood, Starfire, and Arsenal in a place called the Chamber of All.
They are surrounded by a bunch of villains and the odds are against them!
That is when a huge battle erupts! A nice double page spread really drives the point home.
Meanwhile, we cut over to Bizarro.
He has seemingly defeated Trigon. He stands over Trigon’s body. This leads into a series of unfortunate events for Bizarro. He ends up in a really interesting place by the end of the issue.
The battle continues against the Red Hood’s enemies! It gets to a crazy boiling point.
Then, by issue’s end, one of the Red Hood’s teammates makes a sacrifice.
This may have ramifications that will last beyond Lobdell’s run as well. It is pretty strong and emotional.
The story is really well done. The art is very fitting and tells the story well. This has been a great book since Rebirth started.
I have loved what Lobdell has done here. I can’t wait to see how he wraps the whole thing up.
