‘Nightwing #82’ (review)

Written by Tom Taylor
Art by Bruce Redondo
Published by DC Comics

This has been an excellent run by a top notch creative team.

They have finally taken Nightwing and took him out of his slump and did something great with him. I am liking this book very much and it is a well done thrill ride.

Dick Grayson’s parents were killed at the circus years ago performing. The tragedy has informed Dick’s life in becoming a hero. Now, new information has come up that is making him question a lot of things about his past. It starts coming at him faster than he can handle!

Melinda Zucco has made her way to Bludhaven and she is wreaking havoc on Dick’s life. Dick starts to learn about her connection to the Flying Graysons. The revelation is something that threatens to shake Dick to his core.

It’s a pretty big bombshell that Dick gets handed.

I don’t want to spoil it, but this is something that can truly affect all the Batman titles and the status quo. It is well handled and by the end of the issue, I was thrown completely off balance.

That’s a good feeling to have when reading this book. Tom Taylor writes a great script. Bruce Redondo does some great art here. They are a perfect creative team.

I am loving what they are coming up with.

RATING: A
