‘Nightwing #80’ (review)

Written by Tom Taylor
Art by Bruce Redondo
Published by DC Comics

This series has been pretty good since the new creative team has taken over.

They have taken the character in a decidedly new direction that has been fairly interesting to say the least. This issue continues their first storyline and it is definitely pretty decent as well.

Dick Grayson has settled back into the city of Bludhaven.

Dick has finally gotten it all back together too.

He even is doing good things with his money as well. He is trying to clean up the city both in his personal life and as the superhero Nightwing.

There is a new threat that has come to the city. His name is Heartless.

This killer is taking the hearts out of his victims in a brutal way. The people of Bludhaven are completely terrified!

That is when Dick leaps into action to try and stop him.

We then get to see Nightwing try to track this guy down and deal with him.

It is very exciting to watch. There are a few twists along the way. But Dick may have more to contend with than he originally thought. The story then takes some really dark twists.

The story by Tom Taylor is quite excellent. He is doing a great job writing this and he seems to have a real affinity for the character. The artwork by Bruce Redondo is good as well.

Overall, this is a very strong book that finally seems to be going places.

RATING: B+
