New Cast Members For THOR 2, IRON MAN 3

Two interesting casting announcements for Disney and Marvel Studios sequels Thor 2 and Iron Man 3.

Mads Mikkelsen has joined Thor 2 as an as-of-yet named villain.  He will be joining Tom Hiddleston, who will be reprising his Thor and The Avengers role as the sequel’s main nemesis, Loki.  Mikkelsen, who is best known for his role as the villain in Casino Royale joins most of the original cast under director Alan Taylor and a script by Don Payne and Robert Rodat.  Thor 2 is scheduled for November 15th, 2013.

Iron Man 3 adds another bad guy to the film, with Ashley Hamilton in talks to portray government cyborg Firepower.  Shane Black, who co-wrote the film with Drew Pearce and is directing the film, has already assembled a pretty amazing cast including Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau
and Rebecca Hall.  Iron Man 3 flies into theaters on May 3, 2013.
