‘Mister Miracle: The Source of Freedom #4’ (review)

Written by Brandon Easton
Art by Fico Ossio
Published by DC Comics

This book just keeps getting better and better.

I love what the creative team have been doing with this. It is a strong book that takes a rather forgotten about version of the character and they really make it work. I love what they have accomplished with this book thus far.

Shilo Norman is Mister Miracle no longer.

He has been brought to his lowest point and now everything about him has been stripped away. It is a fairly dark and brutal place that we find him at the beginning of the book.

But then Shilo has to pick himself up. We get to see him try to gather himself together. He has a hard time doing so. He fights back as best he can to get the answers that he is looking for. You see, he is trying to learn about the secrets of the Miracle mantle.

All of his research leads him to a shadowy figure.

This shadowy figure has a bunch of knowledge to offer up about who he is. Can Shilo stay alive long enough to appreciate it?

The story by Easton is strong. It is a tight script with a lot to it. The artwork is excellent as well and really invokes a mood.

Overall, this is another fine issue of this continuing series. It is entertaining and even a bit thought provoking.

RATING: B+
