This isn’t a bad series at all.
I really enjoy the Shilo Norman version of the character and this creative team really put him to good use. I really like the way that they are developing the story and each issue has been very interesting.
In this issue, we get to see that Shilo Norman has developed new powers.
You see, in the last issue there was a development involving Thaddeus Brown’s ashes that made Shilo develop the new abilities. It was pretty crazy but also pretty inventive.
Shilo uses these new abilities to dig into the mystery behind the origin of N’Ver Free and her devoted followers called the Core. There are revelations abound that happen here and Shilo has to navigate his way through it all.
That’s when he starts to put his guard up. Shilo begins to meet new players into the game. They are acting like they are his allies, but are they?
Even worse, if they are not, what does it all mean? He then finds out a secret which could very well mean the end of his legacy.
Brandon Easton writes a great script here. It is full of twists and turns and some great character development. The art by Fico Ossio is great too and the work has a very unique flavor.
I am liking where this is headed and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
