‘Man-Bat #5’ (review)

Well, the good news is that this is the last issue of the series.

This series could have been something really great, but sadly it doesn’t really go anywhere new.

I wish this has a bit more to it,  but maybe we will get another series sometime with this character that will be stronger.

After fighting and being chased down by the Suicide Squad last issue, Man-Bat finds himself at a bit of a crossroads.

He has to do something about all this and actually take a stand. He is ready to fight back and not take this all lying down!

He fights back against the hordes that are currently against him. He also has to see about saving his loved ones. Things aren’t looking too good for Man-Bat. He then pushes like he never has before, determined beyond belief.

Man-Bat also has to do all this before the serum in his veins destroys him. Can he do it? Or is all hope lost for good?

We get all of the answers by the end of the book, but they all aren’t very interesting. I felt that I had no reason to care.

The book ends on a resounding thud. It is pretty much just an uninspired conclusion. The art is okay but doesn’t match the writing.

Ah well. Maybe there will be a interesting version down the road.

Let’s hope!
