‘Jupiter’s Legacy: Requiem #1’ (review)

Written by Mark Millar
Art by Tommy Lee Edwards
Published by Image Comics

Well, the Jupiter’s Legacy show was just canceled by Netflix (I liked it), but the comic book universe continues.

That’s a good thing because it really is a rich universe that has really untapped potential.

This book is a great continuation of that story.

Chloe and Hutch have gotten married and had another bunch of children. They are living the life and seem pretty happy. Since they are happy, the world is pretty happy as well. Things are harmonious in a way that they haven’t been before.

The superheroes of the world are even all getting along. Who could have seen that coming? Things are really good for once!

That is when things start to go in the opposite direction and things start to fall apart.

Chloe and Hutch are then tasked to keep it all together. But can they?

And can their children be of any help?

This book is looking to set up one of the biggest epics of this universe’s story. I think that they can pull it off too.

Millar writes an excellent script that shows us why he is one of the best in the business. The art by Tommy Lee Edwards is pretty great as well. The whole thing is really well done and I can’t wait to see where they take us from here.

RATING: A
