Jon Stewart fires back at ex-CNN man Rick Sanchez

Doesn’t Rick Sanchez know the rule, that TV pundits don’t mess with Jon Stewart? Apparently Sanchez didn’t get the debrief from how the Daily Show host’s legendary appearance on Crossfire six years ago ended with CNN canceling the show and firing co-host Tucker Carlson.
Well, Sanchez was fired from CNN on Friday for calling Stewart a bigot and insinuating that the TV media was run by Jews. And Stewart struck back Monday night, showing more glee than anger.
In fact, Stewart said, he was angry only because since Sanchez made his comments Thursday, The Daily Show wouldn’t get to mock him until Monday, “and there’s no way this cat survives the weekend at CNN.”
Check out the video after the jump.
