Joel Meadows Presents ‘Masters Of Comics’ Lecture/Signing at New York’s Society of Illustrators

Friend of FOG!, Joel Meadows, Tripwire’s editor-in-chief, has spent the last three decades covering the best in comics and genre, and Masters Of Comics is a book that takes a look at the studios and work practices of the world’s finest comic artists and illustrators.

On October 5th, during the New York Comic Con weekend, Joel will lecture at the Society of Illustrators.

This talk and signing will feature a selection of the artists featured in the book including Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire, Eight), Bill Sienkiewicz (Legion TV show, Elektra Assassin), Yuko Shimuzu (The Unwritten, New York Times) and Walter Simonson (Ragnarok, Thor, Manhunter), Dan Panosian (cover artist 100 Bullets, The Punisher), and Dave Johnson (artist, X-Men, Logan) talking about their working practices and their studios.

Masters Of Comics is a lavish paperback published by Insight Editions which also includes artists like Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets, Moonshine), Frank Quitely (All-Star Superman, Batman & Robin, Jupiter’s Children), Sean Phillips (Criminal, Kill Or Be Killed), Posy Simmonds (Tamara Drewe, Gemma Bovery), Michael Kaluta (The Shadow, Books Of Magic) and many more. Introduction by TV writer and producer Mark Verheiden (Daredevil, Ash vs Evil Dead, Swamp Thing).
