INFOGRAPHIC – NYCC DAILY ROUND-UP DAY 2 BUZZ METER

Friday was Marvel Day at NYCC, with the studio dropping several surprises on fans during the course of the day! The biggest news of the day from Marvel was the announcement that this summer’s biggest blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy would be getting an animated series for the Disney XD channel. The announcement generated a mighty 6,544 mentions.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D panel also generated a significant amount of buzz, as cast and crew revealed secrets from season 2 of the show and fans also got their first look at the highly anticipated Agent Carter series. All this, as well as other Marvel comics panels, helped Marvel generate a super 29,471 mentions on Friday alone, making it our superhero of the day!

The biggest individual buzz winner of the day was ABC’s Once Upon A Time. Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis and star Jennifer Morrison were on hand to dish the dirt on Once’s latest season, which has been a hit so far with audiences thanks to its Frozen theme.

The big film winner of the day was Michael Keaton’s Birdman. Keaton and co-star Edward Norton were on-hand to promote the film and show off new footage to the NYCC audience. There is already early Oscars buzz for Keaton’s performance in the film and the film is sure to continue to generate a lot of buzz in the run up to its release.
