This is a really interesting take on Harley Quinn.
I love what the creative team is doing here and it is very entertaining. It is a bit softer than previous Harley Quinn books but that is okay by me. I am really enjoying this version very much
Harley continues her fight against Doctor Hugo Strange in this issue. I love the creative team’s take on Strange. He hasn’t been seen around too much lately and they do a good job of making him a little bit more well rounded as a character.
Harley is trying to save Kevin from one of Hugo’s assassins in this issue. His assassin is the man child known as Lockwood. We first get to to see Harley trying to evade this character and the stakes start to get high!
But then Harley takes this assailant down in a really great way. It opens Harley up to take the fight to Strange himself! It gets quite exciting and does lead to a nice last few pages.
This is just an enjoyable book with not much else.
Stephanie Phillips writes a great script here that doesn’t let up. I am curious to see what she has in store for us next. I love Riley Rossmo’s art in general and he showed me again why with this issue. He’s great.
This is a surprisingly fun book that I am enjoying very much.
