Is it too late to reboot this comic book?
Or to call the previous creative team and see if they will come back?
This book is not very enjoyable to me as it just feels likely the stakes aren’t very important. The story here feels more like a backup story and not necessarily a feature.
A Guardian of the Universe is dead.
This puts the universe in a horrible bit of circumstances, and everything is in a bit of chaos. We get to see a bit of that chaos happening. Then we head over to the summit that was going on in the previous issue.
That summit is in bad shape.
The United Planets and the Green Lantern Corps are struggling with everything going on. There also appears to be a new threat looming that could very well destroy everything that has been worked on.
John Stewart appears and it seems like he has been reassigned as an ambassador. But will that make any difference? Things are looking dicey and by the end of the issue, things are looking pretty hopeless.
The story here bored me. It feels unfocused and shoddy. I was trying to find an entry point so I could enjoy this, but it wasn’t there. The art is pretty good but unfortunately, that is all this comic book has going for it.
