GHOSTBUSTERS Cast Revealed; Includes Kristen Wiig And Melissa McCarthy

Written by Christopher M

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Sony’s cast for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot.

The all female cast includes Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy who were hopefuls since the announcement of the project. The pair previously worked on Feige’s wildly successful Bridesmaids.

Oddly enough, the other two cast members are lesser known actresses best known from their work on Saturday Night Live, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon

It’s great to finally see some diversity in the end.  Originally, we had heard like ten names in the mix for roles including Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence, none of the actresses in the mix were of color which was shocking to say the least.

Production on the film is expected to begin this summer in New York.
