‘Geiger #3’ (review)

Written by Geoff Johns
Art by Gary Frank, Brad Anderson
Published by Image Comics

So far, this has been a really interesting book, especially from these two creators.

Geoff Johns and Gary Frank are two of the best in their respective fields and they really haven’t done something like this before. It is an interesting book that has a lot of tension that does not let up!

This issue reveals Geiger’s complete origin story.

It was completely not what I was expecting at all. This issue shows what happened to earth. It also shows what the world was like before the war happened and before everything was pretty much destroyer.

Geiger was a very different person before the war.

We get to see that explored a bit and it is very interesting. We also get to see and witness his fateful meeting with Doctor Molotov. We get to see how it all factors into modern day events.

The book also shows where we are in the present day. The King of Vegas invades Geiger’s compound. Can Geiger survive this brutal attack? Or is everything going to go to hell in a hand basket yet again? Well, we get some answers readily.

The cliffhanger that this book ends on is something else. Geoff Johns has done a great job writing this book. I have to say the art is some of the best of Gary Frank’s career.

Overall, this is another fine chapter of this extremely entertaining book.

RATING: A
