FOX Announces New DAREDEVIL Film: To Be Based on FRANK MILLER’S “BORN AGAIN”

According to Heat Vision, director David Slade (30 Days Of Night, Twilight: Eclipse) will be directing a new Daredevil film, based on the Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli Born Again storyline which chronicles the Kingpin discovering Daredevil’s identity and destroys his life sending the character into insanity and destitution.

The film will be produced by Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark and will be made by 20th Century Fox.

Interestingly enough, the storyline has a pivotal moment that could provide cameos for actors Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans and could serve as a bridge between Daredevil and the other properties controlled by Marvel Studios and Disney.

Ben Affleck, who portrayed the character in the 2003 film is not expected to return.

As for our casting wish list?

Chris Pine might be an interesting choice to play the hero, and I personally wouldn’t mind seeing Hugh Laurie as reporter Ben Urich, Brendan Gleeson as the Kingpin, Wilson Fisk, Josh Gad as Foggy Nelson, Jason Statham as Nuke and Frances McDormand as Sister Maggie.
