First Sherlock Holmes, Now Long John Silver
GUY RITCHIE To Direct TREASURE ISLAND

Guy Ritchie is adapting another classic, as he’s attached to direct a new version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island.  Ritchie will produce the film with his partner Lionel Wigram and Kevin McCormick.  Alex Harakis will write the screenplay based on Wigram’s reimagining, which he successfully did previously with Sherlock Holmes.

Ritchie and Wigram are also currently developing The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which they took over from Steven Soderbergh after he dropped out of the project.

Wonder if we’ll see Jason Statham as a pirate?
