‘Fantastic Four: Life Story #4’ (review)

Written by Mark Russell
Art by Sean Izaake
Published by Marvel Comics

This has been a really strong title thus far.

I am really loving the direction that the creative team has taken this book In. Each issue represents a decade in these characters lives and I have to say it captures each decade perfectly.

This issue here captures the crazy time period that was the 1990’s.  There is a lot of good moments of humor that are used to make the 90s really stand out. This issue also shows where the characters are at emotionally during this time.

This issue particularly focused on the character of Ben Grimm aka the Thing. We get to see Ben suffering with his identity here. We also get to see him see with the love that he had and the loss that comes along with it.

We get to see that Galactus is coming as well. The Fantastic Four are doing everything that they can to be ready to confront this huge monster.

Are they going to be ready? Or are they going to lose against this being from outer space?

The story does go into some really crazy places. Mark Russell writes an amazing script as usual. The artwork by Sean Izaake is pretty great too.

Overall, this is a nice issue of a pretty great series.

RATING: A
