‘Deathstroke Inc. #1’ (review)

Written by Joshua Williamson
Art by Howard Porter
Published by DC Comics

I have to say, it feels like it’s been forever since Deathstroke had his own book. Well, he’s back and not a moment too soon. This book is pretty awesome to say the least and I feel like this is going to be a pretty damn good series.

Slade Wilson has finally had enough.

He has been out on his own for a long time and he isn’t going to do it anymore. He decides to join an organization to not be out in the cold anymore. Then the organization decides to do something extraordinary.

They decide to give Deathstroke a team. That team is for going to some of the weirdest places in the DC Universe and doing some exploring. The cast of characters for this team are pretty fun. There is one member in particular that’s pretty awesome.

That member is Black Canary.

She has joined the team and there is immediate friction between her and Slade Wilson. This leads to some of the best conflict of the issue. It all ends on an interesting note for sure.

The writing is very well done. I have to say that I really do love what Joshua Williamson has done here. It is very good. The artwork by Howard Porter is excellent as well.

Overall, this is a good first issue for this continuing series.

RATING: A
