This is it! The final issue of this series!
It has been one hell of a ride up until now. I have to say that the last issue was a bit slow for me. That is okay though as this particular issue cranks everything up. It is a satisfying ending to this miniseries and it leaves room for more stories.
The remaining Justice League members fight against an army of Amazons for the fate of the Earth at the beginning of the issue.
It is one hell of a battle with a lot of destruction. Artist Trevor Hairsine really illustrates the destruction of the earth quite well at the beginning of the issue.
This makes the stakes really high.
While all of this is going on, John Constantine fights against Trigon in one hell of battle of wills!
Honestly, this is just the culmination of everything the previous six issues has brought us.
The whole thing ends in a completely unexpected way. I have to say I was expecting a massacre. And we do get a lot of that. But by the end of the issue, we get something that is wonderful. We actually get a little bit of hope.
Tom Taylor writes an amazing script here. It is more than just a typical zombie book. It actually has a lot of soul to it.
The art by Hairsine is great again, and he elevates this book to great heights.
I loved what they did with this series and will read more if they make them!
