Darwyn Cooke Covers Hugh Howey’s WOOL: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL #1-3

Eisner Award-Winning Artist will design all six covers for the six-issue adaptation of Hugh Howey’s Wool, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray and illustrated by Jimmy Broxton

Jet City Comics is excited to reveal Darwyn Cooke’s original cover art for the first three issues of Wool: The Graphic Novel, an adaptation of one of the bestselling science fiction novels in recent history.  Hugh Howey’s Wool was a New York Times, USA Today, and #1 Kindle bestseller, and the series has gone on to collectively sell over a million copies worldwide.  The six-issue, digital adaptation will be published episodically through the Kindle Serials program, with new issues delivered automatically each month, after which the collected graphic novel will be available in digital format exclusively on Amazon.com and in print wherever comics are sold. The first issue releases on June 3rd, 2014.

In the near future, mankind has been driven to the edge of extinction – the few remaining survivors live on in a massive silo build hundreds of stories below the surface of the ruined and toxic landscape of Earth.  Talk of the outside world is forbidden.  But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: they are allowed outside.

Written by comics veterans Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray (All-Star Western), and stunningly illustrated by Jimmy Broxton (The Unwritten), Wool: The Graphic Novel brings Howey’s dark, dystopian vision to life like never before – aided by the stylized covers of Cooke (Parker, DC: The New Frontier, Before Watchmen), one of the premiere artists in the industry. The first issue is currently available for pre-order, and a free sample is available for download on Amazon.com.
