‘Compass #3’ (review)

This has been a fairly decent series thus far.

The creative team has put forth some interesting ideas for sure. Not all of them paid off but the ones that have, are extremely rewarding. I am interested to see how they wrap it all up.

Shahidah El-Amin is our protagonist in this series and we get to see her put through her paces. She is on a quest for the fabled Cauldron of Eternal Life and she has traveled through hell thus far to find it.

This issue presents even more challenges.

There are other forces that are trying to track down the Cauldron as well. She has come up against them and barely survived. Her and her former friend/now enemy Ling Hua have to travel through the dreaded caverns of Christendom.

The pair face a ton of foes and obstacles in this issue. They are pretty worn down by the end of it.

Are they going to survive?

Or are they going to perish before they meet their goal?

The story really keeps things moving. There are a lot of twists and turns throughout and this comic does keep you on your toes. The artwork by Justin Greenwood is very good as well.

Overall, it is a decent book and has some really great moments In It.

RATING: B+
