Nicholas Stoller is in negotiations to direct the Seth RogenZac Efron comedy Townies.  “The story sees Rogen as a regular family man who lives near an alpha-male fraternity house and has to contend with a frat member (Efron) whose raucous behavior wreaks havoc on his life.”

Jessica Biel, Chloe Moretz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will star in director Bill Purple‘s The Devil in the Deep Blue Sea, with Justin Timberlake set to compose the movie’s soundtrack and serve as music supervisor.  “Set in New Orleans, Deep Blue Sea follows Henry (Morgan), a grieving widower who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a car accident, as he finds refuge by helping a wisecracking young girl (Moretz) fulfill her dream of building a raft and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.”

Paul Dano joins Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt in director Steve McQueen‘s upcoming  Twelve Years A SlaveBased on Solomon Northup’s novel, the story is about, “a free black man who, promised a job playing violin in the circus, is drugged and dragged to Louisiana and sold into slavery. Dano will play one of the slave owners who brutalize him”

James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain Team For Double Feature, Eleanor Rigby

James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain have signed on for writer/director Ned Benson‘s upcoming double-feature, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.  “The story is an exploration of how a married couple in New York City deals emotional, life-altering experience, but it is being told in two movies and from two perspectives: one from the husband (McAvoy), a restaurant owner, and the wife (Chastain), who woman who goes back to college.  The title of the two movies are The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers.”
