‘Catwoman #33’ (review)

Written by Ram V
Art by Fernando Blanco
Published by DC Comics

The stories over the last few issues have really improved.

Ram V is writing a pretty decent story overall. I am enjoying the places that he has taken us thus far and this issue is pretty good as well. It is interesting to say the least.

In this issue, we get to see that Selina is the reigning queen of Allentown. She is effectively running the place and this isn’t making some people happy. In particular, Simon Saint is mad that this is happening and wants to have Selina taken off her self made throne.

So, we get to see Simon Saint do some crazy things to put an end to Catwoman.

Selina is more than up to the challenge in defending herself. She also has to be careful of her rage as she knows some of the things that Saint has done.

We get to see the two of them spar. We also get to see what role Father Valley is going to play in all of this. He is on a collision course with Selina as well and she may have to take him down too.

This is definitely the most exciting issue of the creative team’s run so far. Ram V writes a pretty decent script. The artwork by Fernando Blanco is good too.

I am interested now to see where this is headed. I hope the quality keeps up.

RATING: B+
