CASTLE snags Lyle Lovett for alien-themed episode

Castle is following up its Indiana Jones episode from last season with an alien abduction-themed hour featuring singer and occasional actor Lyle Lovett.
Entertainment Weekly reports Lovett has signed with Castle to play Agent Daryl Shafer, a government official who detains and questions Castle and Beckett during their investigation of an astrophysicist’s death.
She died of explosive decompression, which can happen in a decompression chamber, or did she die in space? A Castle source says they’ll have to work together to catch the killer “before he disappears off the face of the earth.”
Lovett will appear in this season’s ninth episode.
