Most overrated thing about 2015? Adele’s “25” album … and I like her voice a lot. (Bought her first album after she quietly tore up Late Night with Conan O’Brien in 2009.) Her songs since then, not as much.

Best Movies: I want to say Kingsman, but I’m possibly slightly biased so I’ll opt for two Adam Driver movies. When We Were Young, which is great, and a little movie called Star Wars.
Best TV Shows: I haven’t really watched TV much since I was in my mid-teens. Maybe a box-set every year or two. The Mad Men finale I think the only thing I watched this year and it was great. Doe Netflix original count? If so I also loved Daredevil. No, make that worshiped. It was flawless.
Best Books (fiction): We’re working our way through all the Enid Blyton books with the children right now. So I’m a big fan of them.
Best Books (non-fiction): I’m reading Burt Reynolds autobiography today, which I’ve almost read in a single sitting.
Best Video Game: I haven’t played games since Sonic, circa 1992. Just not my thing.
Best Songs: I’m a Dad. You don’t want to know.
Best Albums: See above.
Best Music Video: See above.
Best Comic Books / Graphic Novels: Anything by Ian Culbard. Also anything by Scott Snyder and Jason Aaron and Jeff Lemire and Kelly Sue DeConnick. They’re my American Fantastic Four.
Best Blu-ray/DVD Release: Kingsman. I got royalties.
Most overrated thing about 2015? Any sporting event. I loved Star Wars because the overkill let jocks know how I feel during the World Cup.
Most underrated thing about 2015? Hmm. Not sure. One of the nice things about social media is that anything good is rated. It’s hard for quality to slip under the radar now, which is terrific. The small companies have the same chance as the big guys, which is why creator owned is thriving
Thing that you were most excited about in 2015? Leicester Square premiere of Kingsman was hugely exciting. I didn’t even get to be in the crowd for that growing up as I lived so far away. I could only see it in the papers. We went to the Star Wars premiere in the same place a couple of weeks back with Mark Hamill, whom we became pals with during Kingsman, so that was very exciting too. It’s been a really fun year.
Thing that disappointed you most in 2015? Ach, it would be rude to say. Whether comics or movies or whatever it’s still people working their guts out and trying their best. People always see this stuff when they google and I’d hate to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Thing that you’re most looking forward to in 2016? Oh my God. Where do I started? Personally, working with Greg Capullo and Stuart Immonen and Sean Murphy again for Chrononauts 2 and Jae Lee at the end of the year plus Frank Quitely monthly. The Kingsman sequel starts shooting in late April and we’re hopefully shooting Starlight, Superior and Huck this year too. As a fan I can’t wait for more Scott Snyder creator owned and Jeff Lemire’s new stuff and the Apocalypse and Deadpool movies, the Dr, Strange movie. Civil War looks good. Batman v Superman I’m keeping my fingers crossed for. A friend said to me years back that it must be weird not being into geek stuff because we have so much to look forward to and she was right. Every year.
