This book has remained a good read over the course of the past year. Writer Joshua Williamson has done a great job of making the stories entertaining. He also had made the book something that is not arbitrary. This latest story here is pretty damn good.
At the beginning of this book, Solomon Grundy has died again.
Not a big deal, right?
Grundy has died something like a 1000 times in the books over the years.
Yet, this time is something different completely. Grundy’s body starts to decompose. But what does that mean?
Grundy’s body starts to break down.
This makes it a bomb that could very well wipe out half of the country. Batman and Superman are then forced in the issue to race against time to stop this from happening.
It turns the issue into a frenetic one that does not let up!
Batman and Superman have to transport Grundy’s body from S.T.A.R. Labs to the Slaughter Swamp. They have to fight against all sorts of villains here in their quest. There is a lot of action in this book and it really shows a new dimension of Batman and Superman’s relationship.
The story is great. It is fast paced and crazy and hell of a lot of fun. The art isn’t my favorite but it works. This book is always enjoyable. I had a lot of fun reading this and I hope we get more stories just like this one.
