‘Batman Beyond #47’ (review)

Written by Dan Jurgens
Art by Sean Chen
Published by DC Comics

I love this comic book and I love this comic book world in general.

Writer Dan Jurgens does a great job of making this book interesting and on point. He has done a great job developing these characters and making them more rich. I love the direction he has taken with this latest story arc as well.

This issue is the end of “The Eradication Agenda” storyline.

The whole Batman team is fighting for their lives. Mr. Zero’s plan has come to fruition. This means that the League Of Assassins is ready to take over the world!

Can the Batman team stop these villains from taking over and fulfilling their plan?

The battle takes up most of the issue.

Since the Earth is in an ice age, it makes the terrain rather interesting to fight on. Needless to day, there is a lot of action that happens.

Almost a bit too much, to be honest. There are so many characters in that not everyone gets equal stage time.

The ending is also a little pat and standard. I was hoping for something with a little more pep to it but I was deprived of that. Instead it wraps up neatly and clean. There is a great last page with Booster Gold however that teases some interesting things to come.

The script to this is decent. There are some obvious things in it but Jurgens keeps it pretty lively. The art by Sean Chen is good and he has a real good feel to the book. This series is ending soon and I am interested to see how they wrap it all up.

RATING: B
