‘Batman Beyond #45’ (review)

Things have been pretty crazy in this title as of late.

What I mean by that is that the creative teams have really taken us on one hell of a wild ride. This issue does a great job too and continues the crazy ride. It has been an enjoyable and entertaining time to say the least.

This issue starts off with an adult Damian Wayne with his grandfather Ra’s al Ghul on a snowy landscape. They go and basically knock on Mr. Zero’s door. They are greeted by the villain. And then they have a conversation.

This conversation leads to a big fight scene. It is pretty brutal. We then head over to the “Present Day.” We get to see Terry, Bruce and Damian coming to terms that they have to stop Mr. Zero. They quickly formulate a plan.

But Mr. Zero has frozen Gotham.

That is when another all out fight begins!

There are a lot of things happening here, but the creative team handles it all with glee. There is a lot that they juggle for sure but they do so with complete grace as well.

The ending is quite a cliffhanger.

This is a good comic. Writer Dan Jurgens and artist Paul Pelletier work very well together here.

The story is exciting and just fun. I look forward to seeing what crazy thing happens next time as well.

RATING: B
