Barbara Billingsley (1915-2010)

Best known for her role as iconic mother June Cleaver for 243 episodes of Leave it to Beaver, Barbara Billingsley passed away from polymyalgia, a rheumatoid disease.

As Cleaver, Billingsley was considered the quintessential professional housewife, with cookies in the oven, pearls around her neck and wise advice for her sons.

She also spoke jive.
