‘Bang! #4’ (review)

Written by Matt Kindt
Art by Wilfredo Torres
Published by Dark Horse Comics

This has been an absolutely awesome series.

It is smart, well written, and well illustrated. Writer Matt Kindt is one of the best creators in the business. This series is another feather in his cap for sure.

This particular issue may be the best one in the series as well.

This issue starts us off in India.

We see that a suicide has happened. But is it really a suicide? An older woman basically goes through all of the events leading up to the death. She fishes out the culprit behind the death.

The two of them tussle and she ends up victorious.

We see that the woman is Paige Turnier.

Paige is much more than she appears to be as we learn that she is a mastermind detective. We see that she knows Thomas Cord.

Then, a new mystery unfolds.

The new mystery is something that spirals out from one of Thomas Cord’s memories of Paige.

We see the clues unfold and how the past meshes withe the present. It is completely brilliant how the whole thing pieces together. It all leads to a riveting ending that really does surprise.

The story is pretty damn great. And I have to say that this is the best art that Wilfredo Torres have ever done. It is just a well done and classy comic book.

It has one more issue left and I can’t wait to see the whole picture!

RATING: A
