‘Bang! #3’ (review)

Written by Matt Kindt
Art by Wilfredo Torres
Published by Dark Horse Comics

Nobody knows spies or super-spies like writer Matt Kindt.

He has written (and sometimes had illustrated) spy stories for a long time. Yet, every book he does about them is completely unique. Such is the case of this particular book. This comic has been pretty awesome.

This particular issue focuses on a scientist named Dr. Queen who is the top of her field. She is very good with technology and had created a bunch of things, including a telepathically controlled supercar which helps her take down terrorists!

What more could you ask for?

We first see Queen in trouble with some bad guys. She seems to be trapped! That is when she calls for her supercar and it comes to her rescue!

She makes a spectacular getaway!

But then we get to see she is part of some virtual reality experiment and that nothing is real.

Kindt does a great job here of pulling the rug out from underneath the reader.

Things get even crazier throughout the issue as nothing is what it seems! Queen must get away from the bad guys again!

This time however, the stakes are much higher than from the beginning of the book.

The twists and turns of this book are great! It is a good story we get with this comic issue in and issue out. The art by Wilfredo Torres is great as well. He is one of the most underrated artists in comics.

This is a damn good book with some great artwork!

RATING: A
