Are you planning to host a Netflix binge-watch party at your home? Netflix is undoubtedly one of the most-watched media streaming channels today. As per the market stats on Netflix, the subscriber base of the channel jumped to 130 million last year compared to 23 million back in 2011.

From TV series to movies to documentaries, Netflix amazes with a vast and versatile library. Now, it could be that your entire gang is excited about the new season of your favorite series and you wish to watch the opening episode together. That’s really cool and your friends are going to love the idea.

Just check out the post below for some quick tips on hosting an awesome binge-watch party for your tribe at your den.

Be clear about the show beforehand

As a good host, you should be careful of a no-fuss “binge-watch party” where everyone will be in a happy mood. Thus, you will eliminate all possible conflicts about the show or series to watch beforehand. One good way to achieve uniformity here is a voting system on the preferred shows. Give your friends 2-3 options regarding the show to be watched. The one that gets maximum votes will grace your party.

Create comfortable seating

A binge-watch party is all about relaxing and watching your favorite shows on a row to your heart’s content. So, it’s better to avoid firm dining chairs for seating. Rather, go for bean bags, couches and throw pillows. If it’s a big group, a large soft mattress with multiple cushions and throw pillows will do wonders for your party. The bottom-line is- the seating should be comfortable and cozy.

Get multiple snacks

It’s a binge-party and hence snacking is always a crucial element of your event. Get multiple snacks as per the preferences of your friends. While popcorn is a constant, you should also keep light salads handy. A combo of peanuts & caramel corn is a showstopper of any binge-watch party. Smoky salmon dips, bagel tips, pizza are other star attractions of such events. You can ask your friends for suggestions as well. Otherwise, you can go for a pool party where each of your friends will bring some snack on his or her part. Additionally, make sure to know beforehand if there is anything any of your friends is allergic too. Some people are allergic to regular everyday stuff like peanuts or mushrooms. So, make sure to plan the snacking arrangements according to comfort and preferences of your tribe.

Deck up in series theme

Won’t it be really cool if all of you turn up in the costumes of the show of the party? It’s true that binge-watching is best enjoyed in pajamas. But, you can at least watch the first episode or relish the first drink of the party in the costumes. Now, it doesn’t mean that your guests have to be decked up from head to toe in the costume of the show. Just request them to wear anything that can reflect the mood of the show.

Record the show

What if one if your friend misses out on the show or arrive late? Yes, he can always catch it later on Netflix but what if he doesn’t have Netflix subscription? In that case, it will be better to record the show on your Windows PC beforehand. You will get screen recorder Windows 7 program that can help you to record the shows you watch on your Windows system. Movavi Screen Recorder is a trusted name here and it allows automatic recording of anything you watch on your Windows screen. It even allows editing and conversion of your recorded video.
