Bro-D Can’t Be Broken, is a soon-to-be-released graphic novel by Ben Humeniuk.

It is set in 2095 and features a World (hopefully) more united and technologically advanced than we are now.

However, as the World unified and knew peace strange old Gods emerged and started wreaking havoc. Hence, the creation of a program where powered folks such as Bro-D or, “Brody,” as friends call him, can protect our planet.

The graphic novel works in these bits of plot but is mainly one big scene of action and fighting between Bro-D and a Godly force named Bregghammer.

That’s not a criticism of the comic, but a compliment. Humeniuk’s fantastic artwork fits the kinetic scenes of fighting, buildings breaking, and stuff exploding wonderfully.

Plus, enough plot is worked in that we don’t find the frantic action dull at any point. Plus, there is a cute romance subplot as Bro-D and his partner who provides air support, M-Ander, clearly have feelings beyond friendship.

Geared towards young adult readers, Bro-D Can’t Be Broken, is a superb book full of sci-fi action. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the great art and creative plot. I’d rate this original graphic novel…

5 out of 5 Stars.
