‘Geiger #6’ (review)

Written by Geoff Johns
Art by Gary Frank
Published by Image Comics

Well, this is it. The final issue of this first series of this book.

The creative team always puts out consistently great work. This is yet another work of theirs that was absolutely wonderful.

This issue in particular is a nice concluding chapter of the first series.

To start off, it is a double sized issue so there is more bang for your buck. All of the major plot lines come to a head here.

Geiger had been through hell and back to save his family’s future. He has pretty much done everything in his power to do so and to be a hero.

In this issue, he has to go up against a relic of the past.

This relic is quite scary and Geiger may not stand a chance.

There is a violent battle that happens. It is pretty brutal to bare witness too. It also brings us to the climatic moments.

There is also a big hint as to what is coming down the road for Geiger. He discovers a bit about the Unknown War and the origins of that. He also finds out another really big secret that alters his perception forever.

Geoff Johns writes a fairly strong script here. The story is fast paced and interesting and the dialogue is well done. The art by Gary Frank is excellent as well. He is only getting better with each new work and this is no exception.

Overall, this was a good book from start to finish.

RATING: A
