‘Harley Quinn #6’ (review)

Written by Stephanie Phillips
Art by Laura Braga
Published by DC Comics

This book has been a really interesting take on the Harley Quinn character.

The best part about it is that the character isn’t as annoying as she has been in previous versions. Sure, she is a little quirky but that is to be expected, and I really am enjoying an actual plot with these comics.

This issue continues with the storyline already in progress.

The Magistrate is wrecking havoc in Gotham City and their reign of evil has carried over into this book. Harley is trying to fight for herself and for her city’s future.

We get to see Harley come up against some of the people of Alleytown. We get to see Harley in conflict with some of them. We also get to see that the Magistrate’s power is growing at an exponential rate.

What is Harley going to do?

She may have to step it up a bit if she is going to survive. We get to see some of her struggle.

We also get to see an actual threat to Harley coming down the pike. This one might be bigger than she can handle.

The story by Stephanie Phillips is very strong. It does go into some really interesting places for sure.

The artwork by Laura Braga is well done. I like Braga. I hope she gets a regular series soon, but it is always a treat when her artwork shows up.

RATING: B+
