Man, this is a hard book to like.
It’s mostly because I know that Green Lantern has been handled better elsewhere. It feels like the creative team took a big risk and it didn’t sadly pay off. The whole thing just feels really weak.
Jo Mullen from Far Sector starts to investigate the happenings of the last few issues. She starts to dig up as much as she can with everything going on. That is when she comes face to face with the deadliest Lantern of all, Sinestro!
It is a barely interesting confrontation between the two. It also feels like we have seen the same thing between other characters before. There is not much in the way of anything interesting that happens in the first part of the issue.
Meanwhile, John Stewart does his best to get out of the dark sector that he is in. We get to see part of his struggle, but honestly this feels a bit long in the tooth as well. I couldn’t wait for this segment to be over.
John has been searching for missing Lanterns. But at this point I hardly care if they are ever found.
The story and artwork are okay at best. I wish there was more to it.
But for the most part, I find this series incredibly boring.
