‘American Vampire 1976 #10’ (review)

Written by Scott Snyder
Art by Rafael Albuquerque
Published by DC Comics

This is the final issue of this series and what a hell of a final issue! All of the various plot lines come to a head and the whole thing ends on a high note.

This is a highlight in the run of this book and I really enjoyed it.

It is July 4, 1976 as this issue starts. That’s right, it is the Bicentennial.

On this date, there is a huge battle found on for the fate of the free world. And what an absolutely epic battle it happens to be this time around.

This issue shows us everything we have been waiting for.

On this date, there is a huge battle going on for the fate of the free world.

The Beast is set to destroy the world.

If the group trying to stop him fails, that is exactly what is going to happen.

By the end of the issue, all is revealed. It is a pretty perfect ending that wraps us everything completely.

Scott Snyder writes an excellent script here that really works well. He ties up any loose ends that were dangling too. The art by Rafael Albuquerque is fantastic too.

This is a bittersweet ending, but I am happy with this title from start to finish.
