‘Strange Adventures #11’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Mitch Gerads and Evan Shaner
Published by DC Comics

The penultimate issue of this fantastic series is here and it is a doozy.

The creative team have all gone to great lengths to make Adam Strange a viable character. They are doing a great job of doing so and this is something really great.

At the beginning of this book, Adam Strange’s marriage may in fact be in trouble.

Alanna Strange is not too happy with her husband and we get to see some of the results of that. He has been keeping secrets from her and she wants answers.

There are things that happened in the original war with the Pykkts that Adam never told his wife and she is very unhappy with him.

She is also unhappy that she may not have just deceived her, but entire civilizations as well!

How much of what Adam says to her is true?

The two of them have an honest discussion. It is brutal at times. Secrets are revealed. We also get to see the last chapter of this epic set up by the end and it looks to be amazing.

The writing by Tom King is quite excellent. He is doing some amazing writing here and it shows. The art by Gerads and Shaner is great as well and I commend them all for amazing work.

This has been an amazing journey that looks to end well.

RATING: A
