DC Comic’s latest event book continues on in this issue.
It is perfectly fine but lacks a bit of energy to it all. It is hard to tell what we should all be excited about so it makes it a bit hard to read. Still, it is serviceable enough to get through it with some sense of enjoyment.
This issue does bring a bit of excitement with it or tries too.
It shows Barry Allen going up against the Psycho Pirate. We haven’t seen these two come up against each other since the original Crises series and we all know how that turned out for Barry.
We get to see Barry track down and come up against the Psycho Pirate.
It is very cool to watch the steps Barry takes to find him. Once he does, the fight does become a bit more anticlimactic than one would hope. It feels like something more should have come of it.
Meanwhile, things are going crazy in the Multiverse.
This issue also focuses President Superman of Justice and his part is the storyline. We eventually get a bigger glimpse of where the rest of the series may be headed.
It is all decent but not mind blowing. I love Joshua Williamson as a writer but I feel like he has done better work elsewhere. The art by Xermanico is good, but not earth shattering.
Overall, I enjoyed it enough but not hopeful this will change much.
