Man, this series is a drag.
It started off slow and just got more and more boring as time went on. This issue has a nice cover so I held out for some hope that this would be okay.
Sadly, I don’t care about any of the characters or what happens to them.
Green Lantern John Stewart is on the hunt for some missing Lanterns out in space. They are in the dark sectors and they are seemingly lost. We get to see John try to make sense of it all and we get to see him get into a fight.
That is when we head over to OA.
The Green Lanterns there basically are trying to figure out what made the source of the Lantern’s energy go nuclear.
It seems they might be going up against someone who wants to wipe them out forever.
It moves along awkwardly. There isn’t a lot of forward momentum and it starts becoming dull quick.
Even more so, since I didn’t care about anyone there is no real investment to be had. It is tough to see where this might actually be going.
The script is very generic and bland. The artwork is okay. It doesn’t really dazzle.
Overall, this is a plodding chapter in the Green Lantern saga. It is such a shame as the previous series was so good.
