This book has been fairly lame thus far.
I was hoping for something with a little more of a charge to it but sadly, we haven’t gotten there yet.
The characters are a lot of fun but there isn’t much of a story going on to care too much.
The last issues were about getting new members onto the real for various reasons. They last took on the Teen Titans and failed to get a speedster back onto their team.
Unfortunately, they brought back with them the Red X character.
Red X has to be the most annoying character in modern comics.
He just doesn’t work for me on any level. It is revealed that Red X might have actually planned his own capture. If that is the case, then what does it mean?
Well, we get a lot of fighting.
Red X hunts them down one by one. He actually makes his way to Amanda Waller. We get to the see the two of them have a confrontation. The results are completely expected and don’t add up to much.
The writing here is just sub par. I feel like this title wants to be cancelled or just is filler. The artwork isn’t too bad, but it feels like not much has happened.
Oh well. Maybe it will get better, or we can just wait for the relaunch.
