‘Snow Angels: Season Two #1’ (review)

Written by Jeff Lemire
Art by Jock
Published by ComiXology Originals

For some inexplicable reason, the rest of the ten issue Snow Angels series will be known as Season Two.

I have no idea why that is, but what the hell. This is a strong book with a lot of creativity behind it. They can really do whatever they want in my humble opinion.

Last issue, we got to see that there is actually an ending to the Trench.

Everyone was told that there wasn’t for many years. Yet, the family that is the focal point of the story has discovered it. It is a real shock to them to say the very least.

Millie and Mae and their father try to come to terms with this new set of circumstances. They have to readjust the best way they can. Yet, a new threat emerges that just might make that completely impossible.

The family has to try and survive this new threat. They also have to try and survive some old threats as well. Can they survive both?

And can they possibly hope to survive the elements of the world on top of everything else?

The story by Lemire is tops. The art by Jock is out of this world. They work incredibly well together. I love this book very much and cannot wait to read the whole thing collected. It is a very good read indeed.

RATING: A
