I am enjoying where writer Ram V has been taking us these past few issues.
It definitely is a different take than what I am used to on this title. He really is starting to dig deeper into Selina Kyle’s character and that is always a good thing to see.
We get to see Father Valley take to the streets as this issue begins.
He is trying to get a good sense of just who Selina Kyle actually is. He is also trying to see how Catwoman plays a bigger part in Alleytown and where she fits in.
Father Valley explores Alleytown and does find some answers. He finds out how Catwoman began and her rise into the person that she is today.
But Father Valley will stop at nothing to get his answers, even if it means hurting people.
This decidedly violent course of action puts him square into Catwoman’s sights.
She isn’t pleased with him and his actions and this is going to all lead to one hell of a fight. The tension is building in this comic.
The story is pretty well done. There are some points of boredom, but luckily those go by quickly. I wasn’t too much of a fan of the art by Evan Cagle. It is okay at best, but isn’t too thrilling.
Overall, this is a solid enough comic that could have been better with some stronger art.
